Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC)

Honda riders who have moved up levels and are top scorers stand a chance to participate in the world’s toughest race, Asia Road Racing Championship. Multiple rounds at ARRC give the right kind of exposure and a golden opportunity to showcase skills. Every year, 7 rounds are held, and Honda riders get to experience professional racing on a highly-skilled and global level. There’s a lot to gain from participating in the ARRC.

2016 onwards Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India started participating in Asia Road Racing Championship. It is one of the prestigious racing events in the Asia Pacific region since 1996 under the lens of FederationInternationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).

HMSI shortlisted two riders for Asia Road Racing Championship in2016 & 2017. Sarath Kumar participated in SuperSport 600CC class &Rajiv Sethu participated in AP250 class.

In 2018, we were first to create a solo Indian Team at the AsiaRoad Racing Championship. The riders were selected on the basis of their aptitude, interviews and number of races won in the previous calendar year. The two riders selected were Rajiv Sethu and Anish D Shetty under AP250 Class.

In 2019, we are taking the next step and bringing the best of world's motorsport to India. It’s a proud feeling to share that Indian riders will now race on the same machine platform as World Champions of Moto3. The riders representing the Honda Racing India team in 2019 are Rajiv Sethu and Senthil Kumar.

These riders will compete in the race with other Asian riders from12 countries. At the end of ARRC, the top riders will be selected for CV RepsolChampionship and Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race and the best will get a chance to be part of Moto 2 or Moto 3 Racing teams, further-reaching greater heights in their career.

Our two-pronged approach of Brand Leadership & Structural Development, not only spells our ambition to lead motorsport culture in India today; but moreover, create the next iconic rider from India and fast-track their development to the world level with a 360-degree roadmap.
